I think about childhood and our vulnerability as human beings. What a rare time in life to have days and days just to watch, imagine, and wonder. I am charmed and overwhelmed by the power with which I remember today my thoughts of that time. They are unexceptionally related to moments that I spent in particular physical space, at borders that began to gradually expand and of which I was the witness thanks to, and despite of, the people around me. Places of desire, places of oblivion.
This exhibition is a prelude to a study on our historicity in which I examine relationships between image and story, with special attention to geographies of memory and gap.
